Do you love the bright light displays of the Yuletide season? I totally do! Below is a Holiday display on my bucket list, the Ethel M. Chocolates’ Botanical Cactus Garden in Henderson, Nevada, with 300 species of drought-resistant cacti and ornamentals adorned with lights:
Have you ever been to NYC to see the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center? (Also on my bucket list!) The top pic is the 2014 tree. This year’s tree lighting is happening tomorrow, Nov. 30 @ 7 p.m. EST. Will you be watching? Or taking a local cruise to see the creativity of your neighborhood? The luminescent blue lights on this house in Fresno, CA is like a Winter Wonderland!
Even though outdoor lights are enchanting, you’re thinking of something more modern. This outdoor laser light projector will envelop your house in a light show of red, green, or a combination of both…

Now that the outside is done, bring the fun indoors! Music is the first step to jingle all the way! A fave audio CD that I play for Holiday decorating, baking, dinner parties, etc. is by jazz guitarist Al Di Meola ~ “Winter Nights”. (available as an MP3 too!)
For the festival of lights, ya gotta have candles! These awesome Solstice tea light holders are handmade from eco-friendly bamboo wood, and they look divine.
Deck the walls with this geometric blue snowflake mandala hand-stitched onto dark birch wood!
These colorful fringe trees are handmade with hundreds of looped ribbons! Modern winter decor that will look cool on your mantle or displayed as a centerpiece.
Trim the tree with hip modern geometric ornaments in metallic gold, blush, and coral for a très chic look!
Perhaps you’re looking for ornaments that are also conversation starters. These miniature lingerie tree decorations will get them talking!
You can’t go wrong with this handmade silver paper star tree topper! After the Holidays, it doubles as an eye-catching piece suitable for display year-round!

Astro-Vibe of the week:
The Moon is New in Sagittarius early Tuesday morning (11/29). This will bring an uplifting joy to our hearts and good will towards all vibe for a few weeks. The Holidays and Sagittarius energy were made for each other. Each astrological sign carries a vibrational “feel” to it pertaining to the time of year, and seems to affect the collective conscious. This time of year has traditionally been the time of final harvests, preserving food, trading (gifting) with friends and family before Winter.
The New Moon / Sun conjunction will be at a right angle (square) to Neptune for a couple of days, which stimulates our idealism, but it can be psychologically draining if there’s a conflict with reality. This is a great time to step back and take some time to figure out how to manifest your ideals in the material world. Venus will be squaring Uranus during this time as well, so be on the lookout for stimulating new experiences, especially in your love life, but the key is remaining flexible to the unpredictable energy.
Mars moves into a harmonic relationship with Saturn and Jupiter later this week (Dec. 1-3) and Uranus next week (12/6), giving us a preview of the coming alignment between the three giant planets that culminates around Christmas. First, Mars trines Jupiter from Aquarius to Libra (12/1), a “lucky” transit that brings an active, expansive energy that’s good for business and personal growth. The planets will be in houses with a humanitarian focus, so it’s a good time for positive protests, social interaction, and community building. Mars will then sextile Saturn in Sagittarius (12/3), which is great for planning and launching long-term ventures. It’s a detail oriented transit that also comes with the patience needed for projects with delayed gratification. Finally, Mars sextiles Uranus in Aries (12/6), and a surprising event may surface from the previous two transits. A new friend or associate may show up that expands your world view. Again, the key with Uranus is being open to the unusual and unexpected.
