Happy Birthday Aries! The Spring Equinox has arrived, heralding the shift from winter to spring with longer days of sunshine and warmer temperatures. The dormant trees and grasses begin to emerge filling the landscape with multi shades of green. We’re busy prepping the veggie garden and thanks to the unusually warm season, we’ve already been planting spring crops like peas, carrots, radishes, kale and lettuce. The Aries season is the official beginning of the astrological zodiac year and it’s the perfect time to start on projects that you’d like to see manifest in the coming months. It’s also a time to focus on personal growth and self-expression.
Thomas Jefferson, one of the founders of the United States of America and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, was an Aries. His wise words about taking action to define yourself captures the fire sign’s energy well. By jumping in head first to something that “feels right” we give form to our inner self and it becomes a physical part of who we are. Jefferson’s bold actions to help form a new country over 200 years ago defined his place in the world as a leader and he has become an icon for freedom. In regards to delving into the unknown, Jefferson said “If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.”
Mars, the ruling planet of Aries, is traveling through Capricorn making energetic conjunctions with Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn in the coming weeks. The alignment of these three outer planets is setting the stage for expansive changes all year (see our 2020 Cosmic Alchemy post), and the contact with Mars offers the opportunity to take personal action and influence the way these changes will shape our lives. Is there some big change you’d like to see happen, or some initiative you’d like to get off the ground? The next couple of weeks is the perfect time to be assertive and sow the seeds for growth you’d like to see develop in your life in the “new astro year”.
Happy Spring and best of luck with taking your place in the world! As always, thanks for reading and feel free to share!
